Seven Bloggers Who Inspire Me

Blogging surprises me all of the time. I have been blogging for approximately a year and a half now, and I am always learning new (and mostly delightful) things.

By far, the most interesting thing I have discovered is the way blogging helps me connect with new friends all over the U.S. and in other countries. My life is better because of it.

So, I want to write a brief blog post about some of the wonderful bloggers I have met over the last year and half, and I hope you will go and check out their blogs because they are encouraging and inspiring.

I should note that I am a very slow blogger. It takes me a long time to write posts, to read other people’s posts, and to discover new blogs. There are a lot of bloggers who are much better than I am at this, and it is something I am working on because these relationships are really meaningful to me.

So, I am really excited about the new blogs and bloggers I will meet this year and with whom I will be able to develop friendships. I hope to write more posts like this in the future.

Here is a list of bloggers that inspire me. This list represents people I have been following for a long time or with whom I have developed a relationship over the year or so.

Growing Self: This blog chronicles the life of Roda and her family on her beautiful farm. If you love pictures of beautiful scenery, adorable farm critters, and beautiful meditations on important life lessons, this blog is for you.

Rhapsody Boheme: I really appreciate Rhapsody Boheme’s blog because she is so honest about her spiritual journey, her daily struggles, and the joy she finds in little things. She regularly posts beautiful pictures from her travels around the world or just a special moment from her life.

Ali, The Mindful Gardener: If you at all like to garden; or would like to learn to garden; or you just love beautiful pictures of gardens in England, please check out Ali’s blog. Ali not only includes gorgeous pictures of her garden, she also gives practical and detailed information about the flora in her life.

M.B. Henry: I have always loved history, and so I was excited when I found M.B. Henry’s blog. Her site is dedicated to exploring interesting historical sites and events, and her post are filled with rich details that give you interesting behind-the-scenes glances of well-known places and events

Infinite Living: Infinite Living is a yoga instructor and a beautiful spirit, and her blog posts are always filled with gentleness, love, and light. You will enjoy reading her blog.

Mlewisredford is a poet, and his poems are the kind of poems that have such careful and vivid detail that you feel them in your stomach and heart. I really enjoy reading his work.

Between Two Untruths: This is my friend Joseph Trullinger’s blog. Joseph is a philosopher and professor (and my longtime friend), and his posts are always exquisitely written and filled with thought-provoking insights into various philosophical texts he is reading and teaching.

Thank you so much to these inspiring bloggers and the way you have impacted my life. I am looking forward to meeting new bloggers in the upcoming year!

  1. Reblogged this on Rhapsody Bohème and commented:
Tonight I’m blown away in the most amazing ways, but nevertheless am I surprised by the kindness of this amazing soul. I’m honored beyond words to be included in this list of bloggers who have inspired Shelly in some way. I can’t pjt into words what this means to me. I’m humbled and touched to say the least, and this kind gesture comes at the perfect time. I could never thank you enough Shelly and I will not soon forget this.
Luckily I already know a few of the other bloggers and can’t wait for the opportunity to check out the others. Like Shelly I have blogged about for the same timeframe, and since my start, I have discovered what an amazing way it is to share our stories and empower others. To share light and encouragement, but also be vulnerable and tell it how it is. After all, life gets tough for all of us at one point or another. It’s part of life and needs to be shred just as well as all the good times we get to experience. For me, it would be unreal to share only the upsides of life, although it is always my wish to motivate and inspire you. How we go about our tough times is up to us and our outlook on life. Shelly has done such a wonderful job inspiring us all. It’s amazing how she picks up on a vibe and can write a story that goes along with her beautiful art. Life has been busy for me with one of my greatest adventures yet, caring for my sick Mother and leaving the life i have come to know and love, hanging in the balance. I know that i have hardly read any blogs or commented lately, but I’m never too far away from the wonderful people I have met through blogging. Some relationships disappear when contact is scarce, but to be included in Shelly’s wonderful post only confirms what a beautiful soul she has. A soul that is selfless and doesn’t expect anything in return. A soul that is kind and giving, and a soul that leaves no one behind. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this Shelly. You made my day. Xoxo hugs.

  2. You are such beautiful soul and kind to include me in your list of 7 🙂 I share the same views of blogging as yours – I tremendously value the authentic interactions we have here, true friends we gain and how much we learn and grow together. I too feel I am a slow blogger, take my time to post, connect and find my way as compared to many others. Much Gratitude and Love for you being here and bringing together the resonant blogs. I will check all of them.

  3. This is a great list! There are some great bloggers on your list, and I can’t wait to check out the others that I have yet to meet?
